Re: Questionable Meetings of AFF Members
Also depends on the ages....
Same age? 20 or 30 yrs difference?
This would be a factor if there is to be concern or not.

The members in question were sitting on couches...

Anything involving Starbucks is a bad thing!

What is your opinion on this? Would you meet with a member of the opposite sex that you met online?
In one recent meeting one member was single and the other was married but met without their spouse.
What say you?
IS THIS CAUSE FOR CONCERN?

I say yes, it is cause for concern.

Re: Questionable Meetings of AFF Members
This is some joke, but to joke of married people and single people meeting up and whatnot would be considered, in my opinion, "jesting that is not convenient."

I would ask that Sister Holiness weigh in, as she is the resident expert on sin on the forum.

Typical lawyer answer...it depends.
My wife met with someone we met on here that is of the opposite sex, that I couldn't get away from work to meet with. They met in public, with my knowledge, and with my kids present as well. I later had the pleasure of meeting with this person as well.
Could it be a problem with other folks, and other situations? You bet.
So who did you meet Hoover?

I think it is more appropriate for the spouse to be present. Or, the spouse should definately have the right to say no to this. Perhaps the spouse is just fine with it. But it does give one a feeling that people should use caution. If the spouse is at all uncomfortable it shouldn't be done.

Re: Questionable Meetings of AFF Members
I thought St Mark would pick this thread up and run with it. LOL!
Folks, really I want to offend no one. I did meet rgcraig and her son at Starbucks this afternoon. My wife knew. And rg did give me a "Christmas Sweater" book.
I really wanted to stir things up a bit... and at the same time demonstrate the wisdom of preserving harsh judgement when we hear "news" from the rumor mill.
 Bless you all!
