Why does Paul say that heretics will not enter the Kingdom? Seems people who had obeyed Acts 2:38 could still be lost because of false doctrine.
19: Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20: Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21: Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
It looks like we better have more light than just that.

If you read Amos' earlier post he agreed with you.

You aren't even in the Kingdom until you have obeyed it.
Of course it takes more than that, but without that you haven't even entered the Kingdom.

This is copied from another forum on a similar topic:
These are all good responses.
Personally I would like to see less interchange between the terms truth and understanding.
I believe we have all the truth we shall ever have this side of eternity.
Hopefully we never cease to have a greater understanding.
However as has been pointed out by Pastor _________ and others:
There will never be a greater understanding of the plan of salvation than is self evident in scripture and encapsulated in Acts 2:38
The greater understanding we seek is His Nature, Purpose, and Will.

Esther,
I believe there is a minimum light that is required for salvation, otherwise where do you draw the line? Unless one believes and acts upon the gospel message, they cannot be saved. We Apostolics understand that our response must be Acts 2:38. This is the New Birth. Anything short of being born of water and spirit is short of salvation.

Let me answer this way, I wouldn't gamble my personal salvation on anything less.

I can't answer this to the way you would want to see it because I don't want it to be different to suit men. And I know our way of thinking it wouldn't be just and God is a just God. But I do know He said you MUST be born of the water and the spirit to enter into His Kingdom. He didn't be an exception clause in it.
I have heard different theories over the years, and I don't believe they had bible to back up their theories. One being that those you never knew the truth would be brought back during the 1,000 year reign of peace and if they didn't serve God then that was their final chance.
