To this day, I can still remember my grandmother wringing off the necks of the chickens in the yard and then cleaning them, washing them and taking them straight to the frying pan. Chicken is far down my list of favorite foods. I never saw that done to a turkey.
The photos did not really make me nauseated. Having a strong stomach is a good thing - especially since I grew up in the country where we raised pigs and chickens.
My question is: WHAT am I gonna do with the turkey that is thawing in my fridge for New Year's Day? Kind of lost my appetite a little for that!!
