I didn't find one there though.

Re: I Tried Ebay For The First Time This Morning
I heard there is software that some use on e-bay to be succesful bidding. It sounded dishonest to me. This was a few years ago on another message board. (games)

Hey my wife and I used to play on games.com a LOT... back before all the good games went down.
There are sites where you can put in your maximum bid and what time the auction closes and how many seconds you want to bid before closing.
I never bid until there is less than a minute left.
Bidding earlier just drives the cost up.

I've been active on Ebay since almost the beginning, the late 90's. The practice of outbidding someone at the last second is called 'sniping' and there are programs available online where the program will snipe auctions for you even if you're not logged on. Kinda like an Ebay DVR. Ebay has become rather complicated over the years and while my other half is still pretty active on there I've kinda gone the Craigslist route.

I hardly use the Memory Lane anymore. I started a new Noritake top of the line bone china pattern a few years back when I was working in a high end china/crystal/Royal Doulton figurines and other collectibles shop. I've got 6 complete place settings, large teapot, cream, sugar and other pieces - most of it was given to me from church people. I plan to finish with 6 more place settings right away.
But I use the teapot occasionally and have it on display on top of my cupboards along with a variety of other teapots I've collected over the years -- several from around the world, etc. That teapot needs its cover! It's useless without it.
