Well Green Acres is, indeed, the place for me.
Had to go out last night in 20 something degree weather and cover my garlic with hay and close the chickens in. Oh yeah... I LOVE IT.

Usually it involves setting up/breaking down for an event and giving away promotional materials (hats, backpacks, gloves, T-shirts, gift cards, you name it.) while generating leads. Events are usually at sporting events, fairs, tradeshows, etc.
Pay is decent ... averaging 15-20 dollars an hour.
Companies I've done work for include: Quaker State, Dale and Thomas, Sinupret, GE, Chevron, Pepsico, Unilever, Toyota, State Farm, Cartoon Network, Playstation, Phillps Sonicare, Volkswagen, Shecky's, and others.
Last night I set up a gig for Playstation at a local mall ... worked 9 pm to 1:30 am.
SLEEPY!!! Will go back to tear down on Sunday evening.
Most of this extra income and loads of free stuff is a direct result of CRAIGSLIST!!!!

Proctor & Gamble and Kraft also offer work of this nature. Mostly setting up displays in Walmart and grocery stores. If you're interested, I have a friend who works with them that can provide the info you need to check it out or apply. They pay pretty well for part time, and even offer a few benefits. I checked it out for this area a few months ago, but there's nothing really local for me. The closest I could find was Memphis or Tupelo-- which was really a little far for me to drive for only a couple of hours work. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll get the info from my friend for you.

Re: Craigslist
I've made $300 selling stuff on Craigslist just so far today. I buy storage units full of people's stuff and resell it on Craigslist. I bought two storage units last weekend for $15 and I've made $350 off the stuff so far and I have about 1/2 of it left. Easy money.
CL is good for cash and carry stuff. But for collectibles Ebay is better.

the whole "craiglist turned chicken and goats" conversation.
Probably one of the oddest thread changes I've ever seen

Re: Craigslist
I like Craigslist for lower dollar, quick turnaround items better done locally. I have used them to buy and sell concert tickets same day. I prefer eBay for larger purchases and like the feedback system and additional security of the transaction.
