(NOTE TO SELF: Use hot sauce sparingly because when Mexicans sat "hot sauce" they really mean HOT SAUCE! ) Joe and Teresa are some wonderful folks who I value as friends.

I left there about 11:OO PM and travelled on to Athens, AL where I spent the night so I could be in church this morning in Decherd, Tennessee to hear an outstanding message by Pastor Rick Taylor.

Oh... yeah... met another AFFer. Somebody named Renda. What a great time we had, having a little informal "planning sessions" for the Spring Gathering. Renda, and TCovey, as well, are assets to this forum. We are blessed to have them.

I can say this about meeting Affers. The highest compliment I think any AFFer can ever get is that they are (in person) exactly as they are on AFF. This is so true for Renda. Funny, a great organizer and yes, absolutely, a little "bossy". But, all in all a great person and a great friend.

Don't worry, my youngest daughter Alanna has a book called, "my bossy dolly!"

I said, "someone else I know is a little bossy!"

My bruises are hidden by my jacket!

Re: Met some AFFers this weekend.

Wow, you guys really just kept the party going on line, huh? I was shocked to log on and find four pages of some of the exact scenario that we encountered this weekend. The kindnesses exchanged between you two is overwhelming! By the way thanks for helping with the shelf hanging - you did an excellent job! Of course it helps when someone is giving the instructions on what needs to be done!

We really did enjoy having the two of you in our home this weekend. As Renda stated she and I go way back and I enjoyed remembering some of the memories made years ago on the farm. Even tho time and distance has seperated us the bond established then was the same this weekend and we didn't miss a beat. Renda is indeed a precious, caring and dear friend. We so enjoyed having her spend this weeknd with us.

Meeting Rick was a God thing for us. I cannot begin to describe the feeling that has lingered in our home along with the beginning of a renewal in our spirits. I have been a frequent lurker and haven't posted alot but I cannot tell you the times that I have been ministered to in my spirit from someone pouring their heart and soul out here. It began around the time that Rick was going through a rough time in his life and his posts has ministered to me more than he will ever know. What a sensitive, caring and wise man in the ways of the Lord and in pouring out his heart.

We had a tremendous time of fellowship, laughter, tears, joy and bonding. Like spirits yearning for the same things........more of God and being open to what he has for us. I feel that this time was God ordained and that Joe was ministered to at just the right time in his life. He has been through so much with medical issues and his spirit has been broken. OA was sensitive to his problems and used to help him. I agree that we have made friends for life and OA will be instrumental in helping him obtain what he needs to renew his spirit, mind and body.

There is a standing invitation for you to visit anytime you want to and we will work on getting over your way to take you up on the antiquing trip.

We are thankful for such a blessed weekend. God bless you both!

But, Joe and Teresa are my new found friends, and look forward to the day we can get together and head to the Antique Mall in Chattanooga.

Speaking of Antiques... Renda, I trust you and Maggie had a safe trip home.
ROFL!!!

One Accord. Renda is da bomb. She works a full time job, sleeps, AND is on AFF monitoring 24/7!
