Check out this site. He wrote a book about church life, or the deadness thereof. The book is called "Dirty Word" I almost did not pick it up because of the title, but it is awesome. Of course, there is much to disagree with, but for those of us who are struggling with Church denom., order, form and practice this guy articulates a breath of fresh air. All the way through the book you say, "Of course,...makes perfect sense."

Anyone else read the book? Your thoughts?

I have not read the book, or even heard of it. This seems to be the trend, though, and I have to say that I think it's a good one. One statement in the video says it all. "People are not looking for 'church.' They're looking for a place to belong, to feel loved, to feel like they are a part of something." I believe that to be the mission of the church. Jesus didn't tell us to go out and bring people to church. He didn't tell us to spend millions of dollars on magnificent worship centers and learning campuses. He said to go... and love... and serve... and BE the church. Exactly like what great men like VL and JG are doing - and getting demonized for it.

Where do I get this book? I didn't see a link for it on the site.
