My Fence Blew Down!

When we got home yesterday evening from East TN, about half of our wooden fence was laying flat on the ground. I think six panels total were missing! It reminded me of a kid who has about half his teeth missing when he smiles - like every other panel was down. Very weird. We've had really strong winds before, but maybe not straight-line winds like this. Anyway, it's the first time the fence has gone down!

Or it could have been as long as you weren't driving into the wind!

The 400 yard drives would have been impressive.......but the 40 yard drives, not so much!

Re: My Fence Blew Down!

Justin called from Portsmouth yesterday. He was telling me how they were having this "strange weather" when all the sudden he started yelling in my ear, "OH MY GOODNESS (not really his word)!!! LOOK AT THAT!!!!"

I'm like, "WHat?? What???"

He comes back on says he was looking one direction and someone yelled at him to turn and as he did, he sees this WALL of water headed right at them!!
He ran into the building, but still ended up totally drenched!!

Then he was talking some more and again he's all excited! He starts telling me how he watched a girl walk out of her dorm door and a gust of wind literally picked her up OFF the ground and carried her about 3-4 feet!! He said her feet were DANGLING in the air!!

It's been windy here, but I don't think it was quite that bad! Justin said there are trees down all over down in his area.

I have played golf in high strong winds before. One hole I creamed a drive, 150 yards and a few later I was hitting 8 iron in on a par 5 and flew the green.

Re: My Fence Blew Down!

My sister is still with electricity. She lives in Paragould, Arkansas but out in the country.

It is very hot here where we live today.
