I guess if David could get up and go on and be used and blessed of God after adultery and murder there may be hope for Todd Bentley. I wonder how long David was "set down" and "restored" before he began again to write Psalms, to worship God, and to rule as king. And, we didn't remove his writings from our Bibles after his fall.
Sam, David was King of Israel, but he wasn't a prophet or a priest. ANYONE can repent and once again become a worshiper and servant of God.

Yup. It is a mockery of God's moral law when these preachers have major moral failures and everybody wants to act like nothing has happened and they should keep right on ministering and "leading" as they did before.
I have no doubt they can be restored and make it to heaven. I would gladly fellowship with one as a fellow saint. However there is a price to pay, as scripture shows was true for David after his sins, and these guys don't want to pay any price.
They want the nice new young wife for the future and the sin of adultery ignored or forgiven after a perfunctory repentence and apology.
You can follow these yoyo's if you want to but I am looking for leadership better than that for me to follow as they follow Christ. He can walk beside me as we both follow Christ but I will be doggone if he is still fit to be a leader.

I get very concerned when I see what is happening in our country. Then I take a look at what is happening in churches, and I wonder...what is our recourse? If "Christianity" continues to go in the direction it seems to be going in, what hope does the country have? I just think that it is time for the church to really act and stand up.
I agree. And while his statements seem to express contrition, I have to scratch my head at this statement

BTW David had his kingdom torn apart and he was trying to be murdered by his son....and clearly God allowed it

I think a leader can be restored when the fame of their repentance exceeds the fame of their fall.
That is sort of tough is it not? The key to repentance is the antithesis of fame - humility.
