This did not do that.
Not trying to judge her or any of them but guys I am just not getting it here. I am far more liberal than EA and far less than several others so I feel pretty balanced between to two groups here. This one though I am going with our conservative brother on.
No brawl will take place. You have your opinion I have mine. To me shes just full of praise and its coming out in tongues thats it. Its not the tongues that make the video for me its the praise and worship.

I felt the spirit of the Lord as soon as she started to sing. I would never judge another person's worship unless they doing something perverted or outwardly wrong. Many times folks will judge how a person looks and not the heart of the worship. Sorry you didn't get this video, there are just as many folks out there. that would not get what you do in your pew every sunday. Does that mean you should stop praising God!

It it came out that she was against tongues that would be talked about. So many Christians are like politicians, they want it both way's. If they speak in tongues, then they say, "I did not get the tongues." Then if they do not speak in tongues. "she does not worship in the spirit." Really they should be honest, they just don't like the way the singer "looks".

To use a quote from OH Brother Where Art Thou- " I'm with you guys."

That could be. If her appearance disturbs their spirit it could keep them from hearing what I hear. What I hear is simply a young woman loving God in song. The tongues are simply as in 99 percent of all tongues I ever heard "praise to God".

And when I see the reaction of the people in the meeting I am very happy. Young people being pointed to the glory of Christ. What I hear her saying is "follow him". If thats being ingrained in young minds thats excellent.

As far as the "style" of the music I have said ever since I have been on this forum or the GNC, or the FCF that I hoped the Apostolics would go to a more "Charismatic" style.

Although the video of Kim Walker represents a further evolution of that. Blending the Charismatic worship with what I would call Contemporary Christian Music. Personally I prefer just the "Charismatic" praise and worship as seen in the Revelation Song video.

But the Kim Walker/Misty Edwards style is still good.

SoldoutforChrist: Thanks for posting Bro. I liked it and liked the discussion.

Re: Spontaneous Worship

People who sit on the sidelines and evaluate another's experience??? Come on guys.
A dangerous and non-productive thing to assess another's worship.

If I can't WORSHIP at church for fear you might call me insincere... should I stay home and worship???

I agree the young people in the audience was a great thing... Knowing that the youth of this country need to know Christ. God bless..

Yes thats something else about the old Pentecost. Ive been in Churches where they judged whether the tongues were really of God. Then they would judge if the shouting (jerking, running, yelling) was really of God.

It was so pitiful. I remember one story from the first large Pentecostal Church I attended. A Brother was shouting and fell and broke his nose. It began to be said in the Church that if he were really in the Spirit that would not have happened. Well when that got back to him it hurt him and he backslid and went gay.

I knew another Brother a friend of mine who was a young Minister back then who broke his leg shouting. Not to be outdone even in his cast he would get up and run (hobble) the aisles.

So sure Im in the minority here but when I encountered the Charismatic worship as it was back in the 70's I was so happy and so glad to move on from the "shouting" Churches.

Please tell me you do not believe that this 'comment' that got back to him is what caused him to become gay?
