But wait, if you shoot all of the pastors whatever will folks do that live for the next abuse, wound, criticism, etc? They will go stark raving mad without their regular fix.
Lord!! I have been a member of a church when a core of women were running things - no thanks! Once is enough for me! That just doesn't ever work!

I think it is really pathetic how some of you make light of people that have been hurt - especially if you claim to be a preacher. Yes - I agree that there have been saints that hurt preachers and preachers that have hurt saints - both are WRONG - but to scoff at it when you really don't know the situation is really unbelievable and something I don't think Christ would do.

Do you think Christ would post all of His hurts on open forum? Do you think he wants Christians to spill their guts about every bad thing that has ever happened to them?

How does the Bible say we should deal with those who hurt us?

I don't think you will find any of the gospel writers telling us to get on an internet forum to wallow in all of our past hurts.

I have to agree with rrford on this. I could also match story for story, but why would I do that? For me, I feel I would be undermining and interfering in the path that God chose for me.

In every situation, He showed me something in His Word, strengthened my faith and my love in Him. War wounds? Sure, but I haven't lost the war!!! I've grown, matured, have more wisdom, more patience than when I started out.

I just feel that I would be spitting in God's face to go over and over the things I have endured. There are too many powerful things He did for me, privately, through it all. I can only focus on those things. It's too lovely to waste on the negative side of the story.

Maybe this person is still hurt and reaching out for some help - do you know the whole situation? If you are a pastor/preacher why not give them some actual help on maybe how to move on rather than beat them down - if they are one that is just wallowing in past hurt that is between them and God but don't try to play God and automatically accuse them of that.

Sister, are you sure people who post this sort of stuff really want help?

Or are they just stirring up strife and trying to garner sympathy?

I think it's the latter.

Did this poster contact the church board? Did she share the situation with people who could actually make a difference?

How is posting this story here gonna help her?

Plus, how long ago did this actually occur?
