Sister Alvear thanks for the report. We will continue to be praying for her. We understand it is hard for you to get internet access and updates may well be limited.
God Bless

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Sabrina...from Sister Alvear
Sis Alvear, thank you so much for taking the time to come here to keep us updated on Sabrina. I know how it is when you have a loved one as sick as she is. She is your priority right now. We understand that. And we're grateful for you taking the time away to share with us.
I was driving home today from Toledo and just felt strongly that the Lord was asking me to pray for Sabrina right then, so I did. And then He especially laid Sabrina's mama on my heart to pray for her. Please let her know that she is being specifically remembered in prayer. I prayed for God to give her strength to be there for Sabrina and for God to surround her with His peace in a way that she has never known before. Not that she didn't know Him before. But in a way that is even more powerful than she's ever known before.
We love you all here. Wish we could be there to give you hugs.
