There is a cultural center that has alot of free stuff to view about the Acadian Saga plus Vermillionville which
has so much to offer. On most Saturdays they have a French Acadian childrens band
at the "Big Dance Hall", which has wood floors. They let the children get up and play instruments along with the band and everyone drinks lemonade. Its pretty fun for
families if you are ever that far South.

I would love to. I have actually never been that far south.

My husband was in New Orleans for the clean-up (and yes, I know they are
still cleaining up!). I didn't realize it but I was told my Mom's first language was French and she went to school and didn't understand English at the time. Now, she hardly knows French. What a shame! It would be a cool degree!!
