I think we overreact sometimes. For example, let's look at what Christ actually said,
Matthew 5:27-28
27Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Notice that Jesus said, "whosoever looketh on a woman
to lust after her..." I believe there is a difference between taking note of or enjoying the beauty of a woman and looking "to lust after her". For example, let's say a woman is walking down the street and she is extremely attractive. Any healthy male will adore her and imagine how enjoyable she might be. However, the vast majority of decent men would just smile and keep walking. The one who's out specifically looking for play looks upon her and decides, "I'm going to actually pursue her.", he's already committed adultery in his heart (though he's yet to do anything) because he's decided to actually do the deed. I don't believe that Jesus was condemning the normal male interest in women. I believe that Jesus was condemning the heart of a man who looks at a woman and decides that he is indeed going to use her as an object strictly for his pleasure. The moment a man decides to do that... he's committed adultery in his heart.
