LOL! Hey, Mike, you know I'm joking with you about Liz Cheney, etc., right?
You and I both agree that we aren't totally happy with either political party. I read something today that you would agree with, as do I!
Quote:
Can Republicans Make a Comeback?
"Political comebacks tend to come in two forms. The first is when a party stumbles back into power because of the mistakes by the other side. A classic instance came in 1976, when Watergate enabled Jimmy Carter to win the presidency," notes Adam Nagourney.
"The second kind of march back to power, which takes longer but is more enduring, reflects a party's success in coming to grips with changing conditions -- demographic, ideological or both -- and in finding a leader who has mastered the new political terrain. Mr. Nixon did this in 1968, and Bill Clinton did it in 1992."
"Republicans today seem to be fixated on the first form of comeback."
Never would vote on a Democratic ticket, but I do agree with the above.
LOL! You wouldn't be laughing if you saw what I did to one of your posts on another thread!!!
What did you do, you evil woman?

If people went above and beyond LEGAL means and used interrogation tactics that were unlawful, then I believe they should be prosecuted. I don't believe AG Holder is going after Bush and Cheney specifically, but I think the evidence may be beginning to reveal that people within the administration went above the legally approved means of interrogation. If they did, then the rule of law should apply to them, just as it does to me and you.
No one's above the law right?
All of those quotes yet President Clinton worked with the U.N. inspectors/sanctions and with diplomatic means to disarm Iraq. He never lauched a land invasion of Iraq. Do you understand the differences in the decision President Clinton made and the one GWB made? President Clinton's decision seems wise from this side of history, don't you agree?
I voted for Bob Barr so President Obama didn't make me any promises, but I think he's adhered to what he said in the campaign on Iraq. He said he would responsibly (not in some type of stampede out of the country) withdraw the troops from Iraq. He immediately set a time table to do that.
GWB refused to set any such timetable, thus leaving Iraq as an open ended obligation. I see a major difference there myself.
No I don't. I don't believe we would have had a 9/11 if Clinton had defended the US when the Cole was bombed.
But I want our country safe, some live in a bubble and think that if you say "don't do that" that the enemy will just tuck tail and go home.

Let's get rid of ALL the liars in government, fix the current problems, and defend the current attacks on the Constitution; then go back and prosecute all who need to be prosecuted be they Repubs or Dems!
