I know many here disagree with ministers preaching on TV. However, I have two family members that the only "church" they have is via TV.
My uncle passed away yesterday, that was his only way to have church.
My Dad has a hearing problem and breathing problem and he doesn't miss at 3:00 John Hagee.
What do you think?

My in-laws weren't able to travel to church either, but watched religious programs every day. They were oneness folks but attended the AOG church in their town when they were able to get out because the oneness church was too far for them to drive.

TV church has its place - supplement to fellowship with other believers UNLESS you're not physically able to get to "live" church! My aunt says if it wasn't for her TV preachers, she'd never get the "spirited" preaching she hungers for.
We have a whole "congregation" of people who never set foot in our doors, but watch Eddie faithfully every week on TV. I have to believe that God is changing their hearts. Also, we have LOTS of people who are now active members who came because of the TV show. We had two new families this past Sunday who came because of it. Every time we think maybe it's too expensive to keep running it, we get new families. It's amazing, really.
Our church has a broadcast. Lots of people comment on it and let us know they are watching. It is usually the elderly that I hear talking about it and they love it.
Sometimes I wonder if it is worth the work involved but for many it is the only way they might hear the gospel.

my in-laws watch when too sick to attend church! which is not very often. they love to see him on the screen!!
I taught home bible studies to a saint that was home bound. After a few months she started sending her tithes to church with me. We have sent her church service tapes for a couple of years. she watches tv and has learned how to filter some false teachings. spit out the seeds. I have had roughly 30 students thru her home over a period of time. For a few people, I am their only church.
I do also have some that can go to church and do the teevee thing instead. That compares worse than tv dinners verses fresh baked bread and home cooking.
Now with the economy we have a little more cacooning. We have people last year that stopped going to church because of gasolene prices. Last year I had one under house arrest.
I think you can get the same message over a TV as you could in a church building. That said, I think the decision would a personal one for each person. What may work for some might not work for others.
