I think my Mom messed me up in the head when I was a teenager with all those silly rules.

To me the difference between a rule that has merit and one that is "silly" is one that makes sense to a person later in life. Can they look back on things and say "I understand why my parents made me/didn't allow me, to do that". They don't need to understand as a child but SHOULD as an adult -this can be in a spiritual sense as well.

Maybe it is a good thing!!!!!!

I thought at first this was some kind of spoof, but I guess it isn't...reminds me of Bobbi & Marty Culp, except the latter were MUCH more talented.

This is good logic. Though there are a few better (slightly) explanations for the horse and buggy tradition - the one touted most often was,

"that's just the way our people do things".

before long, I found myself wishing I wasn't "our people".

What's wrong with dancing? I've seen a few Apostolics over the years do this kind of stuff in Church!!!

this first video is gross. if they came to my church, they would be laughed out before the end of the first verse. i love the old men in the background gettin' down on the drums and keys.
