I also know that there is a certain element of this crazy talk that is motivated, at differnet levels, by racial motives. When you call the President a "racist in chief" that's a racial comment.

There are hundreds of reported incidents and threats against the President based on his race. We can't totally dismiss the racial undertones that some of the protestors are showing.
Sure, I agree. There are still race issues in this country, but if people really stop and think about it - it's the character, ideologies, issues, policies, etc. of a person that really riles us up. The bottom line is that the larger percentage is not even about color. I don't think people sit down long enough to think that through.

The "N" word, "white trash", Mexican terms I won't post, are not, totally, on a race, but directed toward the actions and character of the individual, JMO.

Yes, some people in America need to GROW UP! They can't talk intelligently so they resort to elementary school name calling. I am sure the President has been aware things like this would be said about him. If not, he is not living in reality. And not everything that is reported about racism is factual either.

And some people should never have a microphone to speak in to.

This is DEAD ON! And since the MSM is in a slobbering love affair with the current POTUS, guess which sensational loudmouth they're going to bring to the public flogging?

If we're going to start discrediting movements based on their associations, let's start with some really tough ones here...

  • William Ayers
  • "Rev" Jeremiah Wright
  • Rashid Khalidi
No... this idiot does NOT represent the mainstream of America, nor those who believe in the principles inspiring the tea parties across America.

??? Somebody's been painting again J/K

Seriously, people routinely use those types of words about people they have never even met or know anything about.

Seriously, tstew, from my experience those words are used toward people that seem to not want to contribute anything valuable to society.

Would you, perhaps, agree that we are really focusing on what we dislike about a person, thinking we are addressing color, but with deeper thought realizing we are actually in disagreement with their character or actions?

And, no, I'm not painting, but I am scraping two dressers - no chemicals involved. lol

I just don't get it at all. I don't like some things the President does, but I have respect for the office. Of course I don't call people those kind of names, with or without a microphone in my hand.

I elaborated more on that in my response to Stew. Can I get your thoughts on that?
