Should I get a Facebook
I was thinking I might finally get one. What do you all think?
Do I need to get on FB? Why or why not?

Like anything else, can be use for good things or bad. One peron was posting vulgar stuff so i just put her on hide and never see her postings anymore.

Face book can be as much of a time waster as AFF.
I spend too much time both places plus also on My Apostolic Network.

Re: Should I get a Facebook
I call facebook my "virtual water cooler" since I work from home and don't get a lot of non-work interaction with other people... however, I'm only here now because my wife accidently left me her half of the internet password (inside joke).

Yeah, another time waster. Can we ever have enough of those? I always said I was too holy to be on FB. Maybe I'm sliding down the slippery slope. Are there any friends out there?

Re: Should I get a Facebook
My husband thinks it's from the pits of hell, because we've seen destruction more than once when someone gets on there and vents without putting their brain in gear first. But I think it's just like anything else....you can use it for good or for evil. I have reconnected with so many people from my past and there's a lot of prayer requests that go back and forth. It's been a positive thing for me, as long as I limit my time on there.

There is a great feature in the private settings - Block List. If there is anyone that you don't want to ever see, have them search for you, get in your business, etc. etc. (lol), put them on the list. Even if they are in a mutual friends account, you still won't be able to see them and they won't see you. I thought that was pretty cool.
