Re: Your Favorite Seventies Memories?

Bad music? I always thought the 70's outdid the eighties by far. I cannot stand 80's music. lol. Chanting started in songs where the same thing was repeated and repeated, with electronic drums and synthesizers overused. And clothes of the 80's! Don't get me started. lol

And the HUGE hair on the ladies of the '80's with the HUGE hair bows! But the '70's were great, because of the clothes. I loved the clothes, even as a little girl.

No way... not the decade that gave birth to the BeeGees, KC and the Sunshine Band and the Village People. Disco.... where is the ralphing smilie.

The 80's were awesome...at least the Heavy Metal side...

Course you got a point, the 80's did give birth to the talking heads, DEVO and the B52's...not all was well.....could have lived without new wave...

Re: Your Favorite Seventies Memories?

I was just sitting here thinking and remembering how in the late 70's one of the things were those BIG afros! My brother had hair that stood out about 6" all over! I should look to see if I have a picture of him back then. It's hilarious to look at now.

I generally detested disco - the worst of the 70's. But the BeeGees actually started in the 60's and just changed their style in the 70's. And their stuff was about the best of what disco had to offer. The rest of disco was really awful. They could really sing and write. In music, aside from Disco, I think the 70's were great.

Exactly! And the ladies and their clown baggy pants up to their armpits.
