It's been so cold (at night) that we briefly had to consider putting a blanket over a few of our less cold tolerant tropical plants outside.
Thankfully it didn't get quite that bad.

We will probably wrap tomorrow our outside faucets tomorrow, and put a heat lamp in the chicken pen. I wonder if we should for the goats as well. Do you put heat lamps in your pens?

My Mom's in Shreveport and one of her chicken froze to death, with a light bulb. I think now they put a warming lamp out there.
