Funny thing is this, on the other side of the community centre is a new ice rink that was built by Vanoc & it is behind chain link fence & heavy police security as figure skating pairs are practicing thier routines there.

Oh I see, well you're closer than I. I cannot wait for figure skating to start.

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics
Ron, thank you for the effort to post links to the Olympic Winter Games - however, I continue to get the following message for most of your links... Just thought you might want to know. That may be the reason for no comments on the various video links.
Since CTV does not own the online Olympic rights outside of Canada, news video willnot be available internationally until March 1. Sorry for the inconvenience

Sorry Sweat Pea for that happening, but thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Does that happen to all the links?

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics
I wonder what the traffic will be like going to Church because we have to pass the Figure Skating venue to get on the bridge to North Shore.

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics
Ron hope you all didn't have any trouble getting to service. I watched the women's hockey game last night between Canada and Slovakia. Canada played a great game needless to say. However, all the flack condemning Canada for their win is just beyond me. I've seen a lot of talk about this on the net including people saying that there should be a "mercy rule" to keep teams from dominating in this way. (I think it's all ridiculous) Anywho, is there as much talk about this out there as there seems to be on the net.

No, I got to watch the "on TV" proposal - that was cute!
I think is it primarily anything that NBC will be broadcasting or has already broadcasted (i.e. The Opening Ceremony). On the NBC website, you can't watch the entire ceremony from start to finish, they only have clips. I took it that the link you provided was the entire thing.

Actually was a breeze! No trouble at all!
That same team Canada beat (the Slovaks) beat the Bulgarian team in 2008 by 85-0 yes that is right.
Don't feel to teary eyed.

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics
With all the hullabaloo about the Winter Olympics, I thought the traffic would be horrendous, quite the contrary, the traffic is a breeze.
The exceptions are the venues & downtown Vancouver!
This is going by the Figure Skating venue on the way to Church.
