Re: Tonight's NCAA Championship

That was one of the best games I've seen in a long time. So low scoring though. I think my favorite play was seeing the Butler player set a screen for that last half court three and the duke player run into him at full speed and just bounce off onto the ground.

Re: Tonight's NCAA Championship

My Dad was a hoosier and my family on his side all come from Indiana. Too bad the Hoosiers haven't been the same since Bobby left. But I was rooting for Butler to win. I think they will be back. That coach is something else. I want to hear more of his story. How did he get so good? He has a business degree or something and decided he wanted to coach?

BTW Butler really is a tiny school, but the also had a tiny team compared to Duke. If they can get a true big man soon it will be interesting how they play. For the record though the last 2 games their FP was low. If they had a hot hand last night they probably would have won

It was a defensive gave plus Butler was kinda cold shooting. They don't have much of an inside game and one of their guys that would be important in that area got into foul trouble early. But Duke has that big guy inside that blocked several shots last night so Butler was forced to the jump shot and they just didn't have the hot hand last night

Yeah, Butler has less than 4,000 students. Good thing Hayward and Howard are not seniors this year.

Re: Tonight's NCAA Championship

The interesting thing is how these smaller schools can become so good. I think maybe there is an over saturation of players and since you can only have so many players on a team its inevitable there are gonna be players going to smaller lesser known schools that aren't that bad. And they can shine even if the rest of the team stinks unlike football

Appy State beat Michigan. ECU beat Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Unlike football? I'd say it sounds about the same as football

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
