Please stop using "tea bagger," "tea bagging," etc. I'm sure you well know that those are very sexual and offensive terms. I don't care if your idol Olbermann uses it. It's offensive and obscene and has no place on AFF.

I have never watched Oblerman's show, so I do not know what he calls them.
I never used "teabagging". I used "teabagger', because that would be the grammatically correct way of describing someone affiliated with the Teabag Party. I have never alluded to using the term in the common slang way. Considering what some people on here call Obama, and actually mean it, my proper use of this word ranks pretty low on the bad taste totem pole, if on there at all.
If you do not like the slang meaning of that word, then perhaps you should not view it as the slang meaning, but rather as the proper way of describing someone who participates in the Teabag Party movement. That is how I view it and it works for me.

Teabagger is NOT the proper or correct way to describe a person affiliated and it's sexually obscene and offensive.
There is no proper definition and then a slang definition, there is only one definition and it is sexually obscene and shouldn't be used in this forum.

What else would they be called? It is cumbersome to write out " a person affiliated with the Teabag Party" every time. On top of that, it is only slang if you take it that way. I am sorry if you cannot see that word and automatically think of an obscene definition, but that is your issue, not mine. Do you take issue when someone makes tea? Do you tell them not to use the term teabag, since it offends you, but instead refer to it as "a bag filled with sundry spices to enhance the look and taste of water'?
This word has been used many times on this forum, and truly, this is the first time I have seen someone have an issue with it. Stop thinking of it as an obscene term and there won't be an issue.

On top of that, if we call people in the "Birth" movement "birthers", then it makes sense to call people in the Teabag Party "teabagger". Same concept.

It isn't the "Teabag Party". It's the Tea Party Movement. They threw 342 chests of "tea leaves" in the Boston Harbor. They didn't throw "teabags.".

It isn't the same and you know it.
I've asked to please stop using the term, you've refused. I'll ask admin.
The word has no other definition other than for an vulgar and obscene sexual term. It shouldn't be used on this forum.

You are correct. In my haste I overlooked that.
I guess teabagger caught on when they started showing up with teabags at capital buildings. I still don't view it as an obscene term in regards to political conversations.

It is the same to me, that is the beauty of different opinions. As you might be aware, definition's of words change as they are applied to different items.
Seriously, you are the first person to have an issue with this. I'd say that says more about you than it does me.
