So much for, "study to shew thyself APPROVED unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Theology not a factor? Good grief.

Re: Are Trinitarians Saved?
@EB I do not understand your requirments of salvation!! Peter did not follow Acts 2:38 with "o yea and now you most do whatever Paul will come up with in the next 60 years"!!!!!!!!! Now you are throwing in a study in theology for a requirment!! I guess that leaves out all those poor souls in the 3rd world countries and some even in America who can not read or write! You are now saying salvation is based on some level of intillect!!!

Re: Are Trinitarians Saved?
Both doctrines, Oneness and Trinitarianism, have their weaknesses and inconsistancies. Both claim absolute knowledge and understanding of God according to their interpretation of the Bible. I caution both camps not to be so dogmatic they deny salvation to the other based on their human opinions. The one truth that cannot be denied... Jesus is God. We can argue all day as to how Jesus God, but if one believes that Jesus is God, I don't doubt their salvation.

I have to agree with you one this!! I spent 10 years in the funeral home business and not one person that I know of ever came back and told any one what they saw on the other side! But some say we have to know with certainty how God and/or Jesus will appear to us in Heavan in order to be saved!!!!!!

A1 could you explain what you mean about Paul was supposed to come up with? Jesus, Paul and the rest of the apostles didn't invent anything new, they ddiddn't have KJVs, or NIVs, they didn't know about Zondervan, they taught from the Jewish canon they had avalible to them. The early Israelites didn't need Word Aflame flip charts, to understand their GOD being one literal God. This was a given for them, it was their theology opposed to the pagan theology of the groups around them. Groups who they were not to mingle their theology with the tehology of the pagans. Yet, by all means please explain for me 2Tim 2:15. What is the study that will approve us to God?
Study what? Workman needs not to be ashamed due to this certian study.

Could you explain the orthodox view of the Trinity?
Good to see you my Brother.

there is no single orthodox view of the trinity
just like there is no single orthodox view of oneness.
We all just make silly little pronouncements in serious theological tones
that contradict each other and agree with one another at the same time.

Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens would agree with you and therefore they say that it makes their arguments stronger against a God and a afterlife. Yet, that is why you have Bible and the history around it. A student of the word is able to search out the scriptures and the history to be able to come to the right conclusion. Study and prayer and being led by the Spirit of Truth will lead a Bible student into all Truth.

Re: Are Trinitarians Saved?
@EB The text in 2Tim 2 is Paul writing to Timothy who I believe was like a modern day Pastor! And Paul is telling Timothy and the workers of his church they should study!! I am not against study of theology but you are saying it is a requirment to salvation! If so what is the level one should achieve?? A doctorate, masters ..... AM I not understanding you?? AS for as Paul he did write letters to churchs and A lot of what he said is not found anywhere else in scripture! Thats what I meant by that statement! Paul use a lot of it is better to___ than to ____ !! e.g. It is better to marry than to burn. Is the burning a sin??
