He is a good man. He just made a bad decision. It could happen to any pastor.

As for what the pastor said, he called wearing a bikini in front of a man a sin of fornication. You are seriously okay with that?
|
Well, I think I read that you think a bikini is acceptable in mixed company. Did I read you right on that?

It's chauvinism and blatant judaizing hypocrisy.

I know Mark Fogarty. I do not know her.
I'm a hypocrite, and completely biased.
I would ignore someone who was threatening to sue me as well.

Great use of adverbs and adjectives.

I find it very hard to believe he would pick only ONE incident and tank her on it. Just can't see that. There is more to this story. It just doesn't make sense to have one isolated issue bring down the house.

Would not make her a HO, a fornicator or lascivious .... or make me file for divorce, like Charnock ...
She would do her best to be discreet.
Nor would I use it as fodder to get to the pastor's daughter or legitimize a divorce.

So you are okay with her wearing a bikini being grounds for divorce... and subsequent remarriage?

I'm not on the "bikini" lady's side any more than I'm on the "grumpy old preacher's" side. If the Gospel had been preached or even slated to be preached that Tuesday night, none of this would have ever happened.

I have to amen this comment. I am afraid way to many ministers have lost their fear of the pulpit and use it for their own goals. If his daughter was involved with the man, seems to me there was a personal agenda involved.
If the pastor had not gone to her in private first he was out of order according to the scriptures.

Agreed, I think there was more to this story and going by what I have read thus far, seems to me the "family" was involved.
