I suspect not all men communicate their battles. Anyone have the Pyschology and Sociology studies handy? I've read them before. I think even Arterburn references them.
Human nature is human nature.
If sex wasn't appealing to men, it wouldn't be marketed and sold so heavily. It's the #1 industry. In ads, it's the #1 way to place product, deliver on innuendo, suggestive selling technique, etc. Some women sincerely believe their husband is exempt.

When I say "battle," I don't mean the arrows are flying at every moment, life is on the line, the soldier is pinned down gasping for air. However, the reality of this issue being life-long corresponds with the reality that we live in this body "life-long." So that everyday, men walk out of the front door vulnerable to visual messages that stir up corrupt thinking and affection. And everyday it requires effort. This is where I depart with the EMB authors, who seem to rely heavily on right actions as a saving place.

I agree with Mrs.McD, it has to do with personality. You can take a cheap shot at my husband in your post to Mrs.McD, (post 171) but I can tell you, it is not his personality.

Don't you think it's on a different level with different men?

Re: Sex Scenes
I guess it all depends on what you consider sinful when it comes to a mans take on all things "sex".
When we are walking through the store and some brunette bomb shell walks past you better believe I notice, and despite how subtle I try to be, my wife notices. She says "I see you look and as long as you don't keep looking I have no problems... your just normal."
I also don't consider it sinful or a 'battle". Just a guy appreciating stuff he is hardwired to appreciate. The ones who DO consider it a battle are the ones who are constantly white knuckled trying to think of baseball (unless that of course is a sin as well) as they walk down the grocery isle doing whatever it takes to not have ANY improper thoughts and feeling condemnation at every one that slips by.

I'd think he was really weird if he didn't notice a pretty woman walking by, BUT you better not turn your head and keep watching her walk by. LOL! I notice nice looking men as well. I don't spend time thinking of what it would be like to......
If a man gets white knuckled, now THAT is a problem. LOL!
