I'm plenty liberated enough to believe that "Social drinking" is not a sinful issue. But for whatever reason, I just can't get past my deep-seeded hatred for what alcohol does to people and the control it has on our society. I don't have an ounce of animosity against those who partake, but I'm just not there. Maybe someday. But for now, I'm no closer than I was in my old legalistic, rules-oriented UPC days.
