Do I believe in women preachers? Yes, I've seen them, they do exist!
This thread has been going on far longer than I've been an active member of this forum but my biggest question is how can you have a female pastor that is married to a man who is in the congregation and have her submit unto him? Ephesians chapter 5 and Colossians chapter 3 both state that a wife has to submit unto her husband.
Ephesians 5:23 states that the husband is the head of the wife. Does this mean that he can not be under her pastoral care? Does this mean a married woman can't be a church pastor/minister/whatever name you chose to call them? That's how I interpret it but am happy to gain further revelation about it.
I certainly know that God will use women to fulfil his purpose and that is fantastic! However, throughout all of history, men and women have fulfilled different roles within society and within the church. The question is which of these is of God and which of these is of human propogation?
