Funny in a sad way. I have always heard white and hispanic pentecostals refer to blacks as black, as if there is a need to make the distinction. I would give examples, but we have already been given one in this thread.
And, I, I never understood why the whites didn't distinguish the hispanics, or why the hispanics didn't distinguish the whites. Maybe it's easier for hispanics, especially 2nd and 3rd generation Americans to assimilate into the white culture of America, AND the whiter culture of pentecost. By assimilate, I mean, be ashamed of their roots and do whatever they can to lose the distinction. It's not hard to do. Often I have been asked if I am half white. I don't think that I look like a halfer, but the border Texans thought I was, because of my lighter skin and my American accent.
Just some observations and an opinion.
