Re: Looking for info about Mark Hanby or Verbal Be
My dad and Mark Hanby are close to the same age. My dad was a new Christian when he met Mark back in the early to mid 60s. His father S. R. Hanby had pioneered and pastored many churches in the central Ohio area and had been long time friends with my grandfather, H. E. Dyer, so when Mark came through our area he preached a lot for my grandfather. My dad really grew fond of Mark and so when I was born in 1966 he named me after him. I remember him preaching once when I was a kid back in 1976. He and Kenneth Phillips both came and preached dedication services and a Sunday School Conference our church was hosting. It was the only time heard him preach. We were all very excited when some of our very own, Phillps and Hanby, were on TV. We always made sure to watch their programs.
