How Great Is Your Darkness or Light?
Lately I’ve been passing through the fire, but when I encountered this, it reaffirmed certain things in my life and I knew this was God’s affirmation of what He’s preparing. If you already knew this, bless the Lord. If you didn’t, I hope it blesses you.
Matt 6:22-23
The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.
But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
Some people have said that God either gives sicknesses or perhaps it’s God’s will that a person be sick. I’m not trying to change your mind on the subject if that’s what you choose to believe, but whatever you choose to believe as truth, that is your light. If that is your light, how great is that light?
If God gave you a sickness, how could you have enough faith to believe he would heal you from something he gave you? Ask yourself a question. If you’re sick and Jesus walked into the room you were in, would he heal you or allow you to remain sick? If we look at history, Jesus always healed those he came across, even those that had doubted (Mark 9:24 ..help thou my unbelief..).
Remember in Matthew 12;22-24 when Jesus healed the blind/mute man? He was accused of casting out demons and healing with the power of Beelzebub. Jesus then told them, if Satan cast out Satan, then his kingdom is divided and can’t stand. So if Jesus gives you a sickness and then heals you, his kingdom is divided and cannot stand. Jesus can’t give you a sickness, nor is it the will of God that sickness come, simply because Jesus proclaims that when the blind/mute man was healed, Jesus stated in Matt12:23, “But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” IF the kingdom of God came upon the man that was healed, that would only conclude that the kingdom of God is free of sickness/demon possession, etc. Therefore, if your belief is that God gave you a sickness, or that its God's will for you to remain sick or oppressed, and that’s your belief, then that’s your light, even though that’s a darkness. And if that light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness?
Acts 10:38
And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. (healed physical, emotionally, mentally-Notice these were oppressed and not possessed by the devil).
God Bless.
