For the record, I believe there are scriptures in the bible written for all people of all times. There also are many scriptures written during a specific period of time for a specific group of people. I believe Paul was using the local custom of the time as an allegory to make a point about the order of headship and authority.
The braiding of the hair carries as much weight as uncut hair on woman, IMO. If you follow one to the letter, you must follow the other, IMO!
