One time a girlfriend and I, when we were in college, heard about some runaways. We were walking down the street when the cops stop us and asked for ID and told us about the runaways and said we looked like them. We decided after the cops left that maybe those runaways had a reason to run and we would help them out so we decided to look suspicious. We took off running as fast as we could go in sight of the cop. He chased us and we ran into a car lot. I opened a car door and jumped in and hid. The cop came up to the door and opened it and asked what we thought we were doing. I said I was looking for a car. LOL! He said that was the strangest way he ever saw anybody look for a car in his life. But, we weren't the runaways, and you can't arrest someone for running down the road and jumping into a car in a car lot! LOL!
