Actually, I didn't know that. I just like this type of piano expression. I listen to a lot of Jim Brickman. Anything with piano or sax will cause me to look up and take notice.
What I got out of the song is that I have felt God to be more present and powerful than the elements around me. So, in that regard, I identified with the song - "You're more real than the ground I am standing on..."
I have been in dark places where I could only, audibly, say, "Thank you for allowing me to pray and feel your presence today." In those dark moments he is very real, more real than I feel that I am real.
