Does he mean Mother of God in the sense that she gave birth to a god that never existed before or does he mean mother of God in the sense she provided the physical DNA for His humanity, carried Him as a man in her womb and then raised the child?

If Mary provided the physical DNA for His humanity, then the birth of Jesus was in violation of the biological laws that His Father created. If instead Mary provided one-half of the physical DNA for His humanity, then the other half came from His Father, and indeed, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us...and we beheld His glory as the only begotten of the Father.
