Because you know what startled and disappointed me? When I saw Bishop TD Jakes jump on the racist bandwagon, flying out to Michael Brown's funeral. He didn't "wait" to see what the investigation turned up. He jumped in with racist Al Sharpton. Jakes sat in a funeral for a boy who was a thief, abusive and who tried to murder a police officer. Shameful and disturbing for our country. People who we once held in some measure of respect - now gone. Where do we go with that narrative? How does anything begin to heal or begin to get fixed with that ridiculous show of support?

One day maybe God will send me to Baltimore or some inner city to start a work for him.
I'd love to do it for the ALJC who I'm currently licensed with because they don't have a work there or in most inner cities.
I'd far rather do that then argue with Pastor Jimmy Bob about how far my church has to be away from his in a southern town of 45,000 people that already has five UPC churches that argue over sleeve length and wedding rings and two ALJC churches that don't fellowship just because.... Besides the point...
Right now The Lord is about to have me stationed in Turkey. Before that New Mexico. Before that with the exception of maybe my last year in Maryland when I received the Holy Ghost I was a part of the problem.
Politics aside: the solution to this isn't political it's the realization that even those thugs throwing rocks at police are souls (along with democrats, Green Party members, NAACP members, homosexuals, those officers being prosecuted, the prosecuting attorney, the mayor of Baltimore, and maybe even Hillary Clinton).
