DNA doesn't matter in Biblical Israelism. Plus no one can convert as they did during the second temple period. Because everyone who was a proselyte had to become part of a family lineage. Everything was done through who gave birth to who, who married who, father was who. Nothing was about DNA. When we look at Ezra 2:59-62 it is easy to see that the priest who were put from the priesthood as polluted or the Israelites who could not produce their records of their father's house could of easily swabbed the inside of their cheek to give a DNA sample, and their DNA prove they were Semites. Yet, that wasn't what they are looking for in the Bible records.

Therefore NO ONE living today could pass the test of Ezra 2:59-62. Hence those living over in modern Israel are modern Israelis and Jews living in New York and Miami are modern Jews, yet cannot produce a shred of evidence to pass the test of Ezra 2:59-62. They just cannot say the are the same people found in the Bible. In the same way I cannot trace my linage all the way back to the first century Romans or my wife to the ancient Greeks. Any promises made to these ancient people do not pass over to me and my offspring, because there is no way of proving I'm connected directly to these people.

Same thing for modern Jews and Israelis, while one group is born to religiously Jewish ancestors, those ancestors could of been converts to the religion from a totally Gentile source as in the case of the Ashkenazim. Sephardic just means Spaniard which is who the descend from. Now, God never had a covenant with these people, because these people never existed back in the first century. While they may have some semitic blood, they are extremely mingled to the point they aren't in direct linage to Zerubbabel let alone Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.
