In the 80's I was Shepherding a Church. One Sunday morning I was checking out our Church funds.Everyones essential needs were met. We had plenty of tracts on hand.
I prayed Lord what do you want me to do with this money? Within a short time the phone rang. A guy who was moving his family to New York from Alabama was on the other end. He had ran short of funds and was having car trouble. As he was passing through our town he stopped at a phone booth and looked under "Churches".
Now there are HUNDREDS of Churches in the Dayton Ohio area. He said when he saw our Church...The New Testament Church he felt to call! I had just asked the Lord what to do with the money! I got in the car and met him where he had called from about 5 miles from the house.
He was glad for the help but it was I who got the greater blessing that day. Of all Churches he could have called, the Lord blessed us in answering my prayer to be the Church he would use.
