"He that believes AND is baptized
SHALL BE saved." That is the very essence of the gospel: we
could say that that is the "bulls eye" of the gospel. If the premise
is wrong, one will never hit the bulls eye. Most believers have
been led to DENY at least one of three elements of the gospel
that saves: they are the NAME, water baptism, and/or receiving
the Holy Spirit. We must be clear in this matter: it is the Father
that draws us to Jesus, and whosoever HEARS and OBEYS the
calling WILL BE saved! Or have we forgotten:
"Then they that
gladly received his word were baptized..."
We are not forgetting the call to believe: for that comes BEFORE
obedience and AFTER the calling. The Apostle Paul declared that
it is the gospel that saves: but it was the Lord Jesus that made
our salvation possible!
Believe and obey the gospel.
