Re: For my anti women preacher friends....
BROTHER ALVEAR:
I'm sorry to see that you are not able to be here to respond to my
post (I hope that you are well). I doubt that you, as a man of God
(if you are called into the Ministry, or otherwise), would knowingly
allow anyone to rip any pages out of the Bible that would not agree
with your "personal" opinion(s), nor would YOU do so. I believe, also,
that you understand the difference between preaching and teaching.
I remember how my (then future) wife once asked me, regarding the
"hair" question. I asked her how she wanted me to respond: whether
of my personal opinion, or what the scripture taught. She replied that
she wanted to know the scriptures, so I replied in kind. Although she
did become upset with my answer (I also asked her to pray about it),
she went home, prayed about it, and the Lord did answer her. She
obeyed the Lord, and she has been blessed for her obedience. Listen,
she was NOT obedient to me, but to the Lord!
Now This, Brother Alvear:
When a woman speaks in the Church, or asks another man (including
the Ministry!) guidance or advice, she dishonors her head (that is, her
husband): for she would be placing ANOTHER MAN in her husband's
stead. She is declaring and/or making public her husbands ignorance
(to her, that is). She is in effect playing the role of a harlot! Not to be
contentious: search the scriptures and see if this is not so.
"But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom,
neither the churches of God."
