They are deists, they believe in a higher power but not necessarily Christ.
Their symbols and ceremonies include a lot of occult stuff.
Hexagrams, pentagrams, lucifer's apron kind of stuff. Joe Smith was a mason, Brigham young built the SLC temple with masonic occult symbols.
Again, much occult stuff. A discerning Christian has no need for it.
Lots of people are drawn to it because of the apparent power that they imagine they get from it, also the support. Yet it has it's costs.
