Actually, I have no idea where anyone on this forum lives. I spoke for me and my family. We've got kids. And we want them safe and able to go to a decent school. But that was only attainable if both of us worked and sacrificed. I grew up in East Dayton, Ohio. I've been there, done that. I think you're being hyper critical.

Many pastors and ministers chose to live in the slums as part of their ministry to the poor. I've not felt called to that. It's actually inspiring. I grew up in those neighborhoods. I know the people to talk to to get nearly anything you want. I have friends and family shot in East Dayton. Of course I don't want my kids exposed to that. But if you think I have to move my family into the ghettos to care about policies that stand to hurt widows, the working poor, and single moms in those neighborhoods, you're mistaken.

Building wells in some hell hole in Africa, and leaving the people with paperback Bibles? So they can go home to the United States and feel good about themselves. You posted that our stay at home moms were nothing more than sad women with no lives? My mother worked, I was a latch key kid. You claim you had some hard upbringing, but it seems that coming home to an empty hose wasn't one of those hardships.

I grew up in a single parent household too. My mom was on ADC when I was younger and then tried to get off welfare. She had to work two jobs to make ends meet. I came home to an empty apartment for almost a year and a half, maybe two years. During that time I got involved with breaking into houses, stealing out of yards, and playing hooky from school. My mother decided to quit working, get back on welfare, and raise me with an iron fist. If it wasn't for government assistance that wouldn't have been possible. So, I know personally the impact cutting welfare can have on single parent household.

When you type those words, it must feel like a euphoric rush. That's you. You want to so believe that about yourself. It is your crown, and the jewels which adorn it.

Hey, we all want to feel like we are the hero, Batman saving Gotham. Yet, reality rolls out a very different carpet. Jesus has to increase, and we must decrease. You have what I call, "posters amnesia" which they accuse another poster of a crime in the opening of their posts, but then do the same crime. It is also known as Psychological projection. Which happens a lot in life when dealing with certain people.

For the record, I've only ignored you for a short period. I don't remember putting anyone else on ignore. But I took you off ignore because I felt it wasn't fair to do that to you. I wanted to read what you had to say, even if I disagreed, even if it were offensive, and even if you continued to go personal. I actually found your posts entertaining and on rare occasions thought provoking.

Politically speaking, I don't think one must be a Democrat to be a good Christian. So, I have no reason to ignore people over politics. I'm only making the case that one can be a Democrat and be a Christian too.

Do our opinions go to the person who posts? Of course they do, because we are looking not only to what is being posted, but who is posting it. Everyone brings their personality with what they post. You don't like, then you would never do it to anyone else. I have seen street preachers get laid out flat, with a punch that sounded like a loud hand clap. Some of you jokers would never take your show on the road. Or if you did? There be a lot less talking, and more listening, with a lot more logical reasoning.

Lol. I've only been spit at and heckled. But when I street preach, I find myself turning to the "Christians" who are listening. I've actually gotten amens from thugs and prostitutes. The only time I felt danger was one time in downtown Dayton, when I stood on a bus stop bench, made a gun with my hand, pointed it at the biggest gang banger standing there shouted, "BANG! YOU'RE DEAD! ARE YOU TIGHT WITH GOD???" The dude didn't take his eyes off me while I talked about the need to get right with God and obey Acts 2:38. His buddies is what worried me. They began walking around in different directions until I realized they were surrounding me. I kept going, and motioned to David, the guy I was with, to make it known that I wasn't alone. He told me to make it plain and got on his cell phone. Lol

I have an awesome testimony about speaking in tongues once while street preaching. A man on Main St. hearing an Ethiopian language. Guess what? That was the week Sis. Bobby Wendell, missionary to Ethiopia, was preaching revival at our church. This guy heard me invite him to church in Ethiopian! I had no idea he heard this until he and his cousin approached me afterwards. When we told him Sis. Wendell was at our church, he started crying. He was baptized in Jesus name in one of her services in Ethiopia. He came to church and actually bowed to her and prayed through. It was powerful. If you know her, ask her about it.

Makes you feel better. Listen, don't ever dish out what you are not willing to eat yourself. Another thing the Democrats do is cry victim. Yet, when you see them engage, they start blowing out tires. Then the flipside to that, would be, you want everyone to see how inclusive you are? That you are the man of the people, how you want everyone to be taken care of, how you want everyone to be hugged, and tucked into warm beds? How your purpose is really to set man free, and show him brighter tomorrow? How this can all be attained by a societal change through legislative force, instead of Holy Ghost leading? What God desires is bigger than a revival service. And yes, He cares about the nation's policies that effect the poor, widows, orphans, and strangers.

That's a bunch of lip service. Words which make the speaker feel as prideful as those who say the opposite. One religious guy has pride in his piety, and the other religious guy has pride in his bogus ecclesiastical wretchedness.
Hence the sloppy agape, having to endure someone go on and on about how much they can't stop sinning but Jesus is just their tourniquet on their severed limb. Instead of carrying their cross and following Christ, they want to hang on their cross, struggle, and bleed to death. All the while screaming down to the masses telling them that this is the best it gets.
