RIP: Carman and Rush Limbaugh
Two trail-blazing, larger than life icons have passed within the past 24 hours.
The first concert I attended was Carman's "Addicted to Jesus" concert back in the early 90s. A few years later, I attended his "Raising the Standard" concert. Both were the best concerts I've been to. Carman was an incredible showman and singer. His concerts were entertaining and uplifting for all ages. He was also a good preacher and gave good mini-sermons during the concert.
I owned almost every album on cassette tape or compact disc that he released.
I first heard Rush Limbaugh in the late 80s and quickly became a "Dittohead." I listened to every show I could and loved his humor and the way he was able to take complex issues and break them down so anyone in his audience could understand.
Both were "GOATs" in their professions. There will never be another artist like Carman and there will never be another political talk show host like Rush Limbaugh.
God bless their families in their time of loss.
