Is it Possible to Be a Pharisaical Liberal?

I would like to know the opinions of others on this forum. Is the term Pharisaical just as applicable to Liberals as well as Conservatives? From my observations here, it seems that we reserve the term "Pharisaical" almost exclusively for the ultra conservatives or conservatives in general. Does anyone think this term applies to any liberals you know?...It's so pleasant to be acquainted with non-Pharisaical Conservatives and non-Pharisaical Liberals.
