You guys are missing the point. You are too wrapped up in what the tithe was used for. I don't care what the tithes were used for in the OT, because I already know tithes today aren't used for the same purposes as they were back then. You want to throw the whole practice into the trash can, and I am arguing in favor of how the practice can benefit us today. What is so subjective about reaping what you sow? What is so subjective about giving that it shall be given unto you? What is so subjective about honoring God with your substance? These are three biblical pricinples that undergird the practice of tithing and show how the practice is every bit as valid today as it was then.
