Definition of a Blessed Church
I found myself in awe tonight when I considered the Church that God has honored me to Pastor. The 'awe' wasn't a product of the powerful presence of God; we have that most always.
When it happened wasn't the issue;
it happened directly after the choir song which opened the service... as they were leaving the platform.
Why it happened wasn't even a question;
there was such a beautiful flow of anointing moving around the sanctuary.
What I found so amazing is that - in a world filled with self will and arrogant attitudes - I opened my eyes from worshiping God to see TWELVE GROWN MEN (not children or youth... but about 1/4th of my grown adult men) out dancing in the aisles with tears running down their faces.
Oh, yes, the other men, women and children were talking in tongues, caught up in worship and praising God without shame but... TWELVE STRONG MEN were out in the aisles leading our congregation in worship. At that moment I realized that the preaching, teaching and pouring myself into my congregation had been rewarded.
Many Churches don't even have twelve men, much less twelve who were unashamed to exalt the Lord with such passion. I'm thankful for a MAN STRONG Church comprised of men that love God and are protective of their Pastor. That, to me, is one of the things that defines a blessed Church.
I'm wondering what 'traits' you find - often overlooked - that defines in your mind what a blessed Church is?
