Not surprising. With the revolt against the GYD leaders (Gaddy, Mann and Francis) because of NAYC, Ensey's name was coming up in a lot of conversations. Gaddy couldn't run because of limits, plus he's a pastor now I believe; Francis was sidelined by political shenanigans due to the fact he's a few months from being ordained a year; and that left Mann the only current GYD leader to be voted for that position.
I don't think he wanted the position. He opted out at first, then was reported to be back in after it was found out WF couldn't run.
Ensey is the conservative choice, no doubt about it.
I'll say it now . . . with his election as GYD President, chances are the majority in session are conservatives which could result in Res 4's defeat.
