Oprah Winfrey apologises for school sex scandal

TV chat show mega-star Oprah Winfrey has taken responsibility for a sex and physical abuse scandal at a school for underprivileged girls she set up in South Africa.
The fabulously wealthy, American-born talk show host has tearfully apologised to angry parents and begged them to forgive her for alleged abuse.
"I've disappointed you. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," Winfrey told parents after flying into South Africa to attend an emergency meeting in a packed marquee tent on the school premises at Henley-on-Klip.
