Okay, I'm finally back online. And boy oh boy, I am exhausted!! Jon will be fine. He does have whiplash and he is moving very slowly. He has to go back to the doctor Monday and get checked again and see if they release him to go to work.
He was on his way home , driving about 55 mph and a lady pulled out of a driveway in front of him. Jon said he didn't know if she saw him and froze up or what, but that she was just stopped in the road, no lights on or anything. He couldn't stop. He hit his brakes as hard as he could but still hit her full force. The lady was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from her vehicle into the middle of the highway. He was meeting another car, who was able to swerve around her and into the ditchbank on the opposite side of the road, but had he not been able to get out of the way, he would have probably hit her car also, or possibly even run over her.
We've only had this truck a few weeks and I'm pretty sure it's totaled, but as everyone knows, vehicles can be replaced, but people can't. I'm just glad he was in his truck and not riding his motorcycle. He drives it to work alot to save on gas.
I text messaged Tina as I was driving to the hospital (real safe, huh?). Her church is not far from the hospital he was being transported to. My pastor is off playing in Hong Kong so I knew he wouldn't be able to come down there if I needed him. J/K!!
Thank you Tina for calling Ren to post so folks would know and could start praying. And thanks to you guys once again for coming together in prayer for one of your AFF family. Jon finally fell asleep while we were waiting for the xray reports, so I came out and sat with Tina in the waiting room and we were laughing about some of the things that the other family were talking about. I looked at her and said, "Take notes. This will make great AFF conversation."
It's amazing how we feel so close to people that we've never met. Love you guys!
